MY PURPOSE
Specialist Primary Tuition for Confidence, Gaps and Early Learning
I focus on the areas where early support can make a big difference: primary maths up to Year 4; phonics; early reading; early writing; confidence-building; and growth mindset.
I am not a SEND specialist, but I do have experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia and situational mutism. I treat every child as an individual and will always be honest with parents about what I think will help.
This is not pressured tutoring. It is skilled, nurturing support for children who need to feel safe enough to try.

Meet Liz Thorpe
a Local Primary Tutor in Faringdon
I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Distinction, and an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service. Before becoming a full-time tutor, my background included qualifying as a solicitor, working in school support roles and volunteering with Girlguiding.
As a parent, I understand how worrying it can feel when a child seems to be coping at school but not truly thriving.
I love tutoring because it brings together my professional skills, life experience and passion for helping children build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to flourish.
